  • John Schaub wrote a quick note to his newsletter subscribers to let us know that Jimmy Napier had passed in mid May. I had not heard that previously.

Since much of the content on here comes from that old crew and those they’ve inspired, I thought I’d pass it on.

I never saw him in person, but have a couple of his seminars on tape.

He’s mentioned on this site in a few of Jack Miller’s blogs and a few others and at least one short video.

    RIP Jimmy.

Thanks Bill. I announced it on May 19th, the same day he passed away.

He was an amazingly creative investor.

What many people don’t know if that about 15 or 20 years ago, he started investing in tow trucks and buses and said he made a ton of money in that business. I don’t think he wrote about it or talked about it much outside of his close friends. We discussed it at length the last time I saw him in Florida and once when he made a surprise appearance at a mobile home seminar I put on in Dallas Texas.

Jimmy was buying buses in the 90s. He would drive them himself many time. As he would say he totted gamblers to the casinos.

He discussed the buses in his “Back to the Future” seminar. And I can’t remember if it’s in the same seminar, but the two trucks might have been discussed too. I recall hearing it and don’t think it’s in his paper seminar.

Also, it seems like Jackie Lange is heard asking a question in “Back to the Future”! 🙂
