  • Hi Jackie,

I’ve had 2 properties on AirBnb since March. I get paid on each stay 24 hours after the guest arrival. I’ve had some issues with the Airbnb listings, but getting paid on a timely basis, fortunately, has not been one of them.

I wonder if your issue is unique to international properties? Both of my places are in Columbus.

I’ve thought about other listing services but, in my market, Airbnb is the leader.

I hope you can get this worked out with them. The support isn’t great, but they do eventually respond.

    Good luck,
    Deb K

    Thanks Jackie.

I’ve given REI Blackbook a long look and I’m concluding it’s not the right fit for me. I’ll move forward more vigorously with Investor Carrot.

I just ran across Investor Carrot in my search for database management.

Is anyone using Investor Carrot in their RE business? If so, can you PM me? I want to make a decision by the end of this week.

    Thanks

Thanks Wally, this is very helpful to get me started!

I appreciate the offer of a call. I’ll likely take you up on that next week.

Just this morning on the radio, the Airbnb vp operations was interviewed, saying that Columbus, Ohio is the #1 US market for Airbnb.

I wonder how many of those units are tenants who are renting out their room or their sofa…….

    Great topic Dee!

In my area there aren’t a ton of properties that are sitting long on the market. At least our agents are wise to counsel their sellers on realistic and attainable list prices. But there are some that are sitting due to location, unrealistic seller expectations, etc. The distressed stuff to which a typical buyer will say no.

I’m sure the tide will turn in the next 12-18 months, if this “irrational exuberance” can last that long.

thanks Jackie, I actually just crafted a letter based on the “sorry for your loss”. I will try both and see which gets better response.

    Thanks Don!

Thanks for that post, Dee. I always enjoy the articles you share. I admire the interest you take in our industry and our CFD community.

    Hi Hal,

Would you be willing to walk me through your fiver listing and how that turned out for identifying probate leads?
