Converting a master leased property to commercial status to impede runaway taxes

    Has anyone tried the strategy of attempting to persuade your local property tax authorities to change the status of freshly master leased property from residential to commercial (which seems totally logical to me) so they can’t use skyrocketing residential comps to support their bottomless tax hunger?

    If you tried, whether you were successful or not, both outcomes are very much of interest here.
