How do I find out how much is owed in property taxes?

    I received a call today from a very motivated seller but she said that she has not paid her taxes in about 4 years and she is not sure how much she owes. I was just wondering how I go about finding out how much she owes? I looked up what she should be paying each year on HCAD but I am sure there are alot of fees that have been piled on over the years.

    Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

    Michelle,

    You should be able to find this information online at the tax collector’s website. At least here in Florida you can go to the website and find out how much taxes are owed. You can search by name or parcel id.

    Michelle,

    YOu can call any title company and they can pull up the report for you in 2 minutes. It will show what is owed to each taxing entity.
