  • I am a rehabber. It came to my attention today that the EPA as of April 2010 is requiring all contracters to be certified if they are doing renovations in a property built before 1978. They’re worried about the dust from the paint, etc. This requires special training and fees. Penalties are enormous.

    Has anyone heard about this?

Yep. More absurd “laws” from a corrupt government. I bet their buildings will not be rehabbed with contractors who have had the training and paid the “fees”, which are nothing more than yet another shake down. We pay $200 for the training and another $300 for the “fees”.

We had a conference call about this a few weeks ago. Look in THE DEPOT for call with Dan Bryan for more details

    It is INSANE
