The promise of being able to generate the homeowner’s own electric power for less, and even sell the excess back to the utility company, is being destroyed in state after state as the utility companies get the rules changed, making any financial payback for the solar panel investment (whether purchased outright or leased) impossible. Consider what that does to the value of a solar-equipped house upon resale in the affected states, or in states where that payback “may” be threatened by well-funded utility company lobbying at the state regulatory level.–Dee
