I only have a few rentals left in the Dallas area and my kids actually own them. I’m advertising them as a package deal on some of the “swap” web sites – with a specification that I ONLY want to swap for Panama real estate.
So far I’ve had an offer to swap for a beach house in costa rica, a beach house in Puerto Rico and a house in Nicaragia.
Still no Panama but it is interesting to see what happens when you just put stuff out there on the internet.
There is a nice condo on the Pacific Ocean which I would consider swapping for. I would have absolutely no interest in living there but I keep it as a short term rental. There is also a condo in Panama City which I would not want at all.
A great book for learning about “swapping” real estate is Paul Kelley’s Swapping Real Estate for Fun and Profit. It’s available in the store under books.
