Does anyone have experience with securing a real station option in Tennessee. I just had a deed of trust to secure an option be rejected by the county recorder. Any advice would be appreciated.

Martin,

Yes a Deed of Trust can be used to secure an Option in Tennessee.

The problem you’re having is with the clerk. You are showing the clerk something the clerk has never seen. I had a similar problem in Bartow County, Georgia the first time I tried to secure an Option. It took three hours of back and forth, with me asking a ton of questions they couldn’t answer, before they agreed to record my Security Deed that secured my Option.
