  • Who teaches a great trust course, similar to what Warda did, before he retired. Warda was the grand daddy of trusts and his course and books were and excellent source of getting good and current information.

I know there’s a few wanna bees teaching this stuff, but would like to have at least a teacher that has a law degree and spent a lot of time with trusts. Anyone doing this?

    Larry,

I learned my trust work from Dyches Boddiford. Assets101.com. His course is excellent.

Thanks Bill, but kinda looking for a bit more experience in trusts. Dyches was a great instructor and has a lot of good materials and good seminars (webinars). He will me missed, but believe Dorsie will continue to sell his products.

    Mornin’ Larry,

Dyches will most certainly be missed. Yes, Dorsie will keep Assets101.com bookstore open.

When you say, “kinda lookin for a bit more experience in trusts,” do you mean for you or in the teacher teaching trust?

If it’s that latter, do a look up of “Trusts” on this site. Jack did a lot of crazy stuff with trusts. Also, seek great probate and asset attorneys for their thoughts on trusts. I’m sure there are high end classes for attorneys.

    Bill,
I mean for the instructor. Warda will be a hard act to follow, but hoping someone would fill his shoes. There’s a LOT of trust classes out there, and a LOT of them taught by folks who really don’t have a strong background in them, but have learned through some experience. Not bad, but they often miss a few things.

Warda was great with his seminars because he kept us up to date on changes so we stay out of trouble. And his books are great, too. One such HUGE issue common up is the mandatory reporting of ALL real estate sales into a trust, as required by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), including info on the beneficiaries and all their info including SSN. Would like to get ideas on how to deal with this.

I’m a huge fan of trusts, as use them all the time. Just like to stay up to date.

Unfortunately will miss your Box class this weekend, will try to catch you at the next class.
