  • Jackie gave me a great suggestion on the use of a virtual assistant to do press releases to strengthen the SEO of my website. I was going to send a question via. e mail but I figured I would post it here for more eyes. Of course members chime in also please. This area of press releases I just can not wrap my head around. The following was my e mail to Jackie:

    Jackie,

Thank you for the refresher on the Conference Call. I was listening to that when it went live. How does the VA come up with these press releases? They are not familiar with our business. How can someone come up with three press releases every day for perpetuity? There is something I am really missing here. Could you send me one or two just as an example. I do not believe I have ever seen one.
    Don

Come on people I know someone out there knows about this. Help a brother out.
    Don

HELP HELP HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM STILL DROWNING HERE.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I just finished TWO back to back Panama Relocation Tours.

A press release cannot be a sales pitch. It needs to be newsworthy about your business. The purpose is to keep YOUR business in the news every day. Plus, a press release will link back to your website so it is another way to get eyeballs to your site.

Some ideas for real estate related press releases —

    Get the idea?

    Here are some examples

So, how do you get this going?

You can write the press releases yourself. There are places all over the internet where you can distribute the press releases for free.

Or, you can hire someone to crank these out for you then distribute them locally or worldwide.. For many years I have used a virtual assistant in the philippines to write 3-4 press releases per week then distribute them.

You can also hire someone on Fiverr.com to distribute the press release and to write them for you.

Here’s an example of a press release for a highest bidder sale

    Jackie,
I know sometimes I am pretty dense. Remember at the Seminar I was the only person who had never gone on YouTube. LOL So if I go to http://www.onlinejobs.ph find a VA who I feel comfortable with who does press releases, check them out and hire them. They will be able to come up with ideas everyday for ever related to my business and or Real Estate?
    Don

    Hi Don

Yes they can come up with ideas. But it helps if you supply them with ideas too.

For example, they could write a press release about how you helped a desperate home owner with a loan to remodel their house so it could be sold.

Real Estate Investor Don Wede celebrates 40 years in business:
specializes in solving real estate problems

    you get the idea?

You really only need a part time virtual assistant in the Philippines. Make sure they have experience writing press releases and getting them distributed.

it is better to contact 5-6 VA then give them a test.

First I ask them to supply me with 2-3 press releases they have written before.
Maybe 4 will supply you with a PR

Then show them an article about anything and ask them to write a press release about it.
maybe 2 will supply you with a PR

out of the 2 remaining, give them another test – tell them to write a PR about how you solve real estate problems

One of the VAs will stand out as the best writer. That is the one you hire. Maybe start with a 30 day test drive. If they do a great job, you will hire for another 3 months, if they still do a great job then hire for a full year. Take baby steps.
