If you are putting ads on craigslist.com you need to always either use their “HIDDEN” email function or use a THROW AWAY email account that you set up at gmail.com or yahoo.com
Apparently, hackers are gathering all the emails they can find in craigslist.com then sending out emails to test he account, once they get a response from you, it instantly gives them an IN to your computer to hack it and send out SPAM using your email and IP address.
here;s an example:
If you run an ad for a house for rent or for sale, you may get emails from people in England or South Africa saying they are a student looking for an apartment.
THIS IS A HACKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT RESPOND TO THE EMAIL
DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY
Remember, to avoid the problem, you need to use a THROW AWAY email that you set up with gmail.com or yahoo or use the hidden email function on craigslist.com
