July 1980 In the event that phrase sounds familiar, you probably read it in last November’s issue on solving the “Liquidity Crisis”. We who have cash in the bank are feeling like the only girl at a U.S.O. dance. Everyone is making us offers, and the secret is to take the best one without waiting too long.
The Time To Buy Is At Hand! ! !
June 1980 The credit crunch is creating terrific opportunities for buyers in distress markets everywhere. Speculators who traditionally rely upon institutional lines of credit are being squeezed by astronomical interest rates and the collapse of the long term mortgage market. For those who can continue to function in today’s real estate market the next few months will offer fantastic buys in both SFH and discounted paper.
Include High Inflation In Your Plans For Next Year!
May 1980 The current high interest rates may stop builders from building and manufacturers from expanding, but they won’t stop inflation. In fact who do you think pays for these high interest rates? Right, the consumer. Manufacturers and retailers alike are passing along this one more cost of doing business.

It’s Time To Put Your Financial House In Order!
April 1980 Let’s start with taxes. In a couple of weeks most of the population will have filed their tax returns for 1979. Many of them will have paid too much! Because of their fear of the IRS; or because of ignorance of recent tax legislation; or as a direct result of their tax-preparer’s efforts to avoid IRS penalties; they will have robbed their estates of literally thousands of dollars in future value.

Let’s Take A Look At Creative Finance
March 1980 Recently we have been inundated by people who want to borrow money. The key to profitable money lending in a tight money market lies in one’s ability to borrow on better terms than those offered to borrowers. Many people pay way too much when they borrow because they don’t seem to understand the basics of lending and borrowing money.
Here It Is Folks, February 1980!
February 1980 Depending upon your personal point of view, the year (and decade) that is coming up can be the source of unbridled optimism or extreme anxiety. From the standpoint of the single family house investor, the demographics can be fantastic. Never before in our history will so many people have entered income brackets which will afford them opportunities for investment and the “good life”. Our internal markets should see continuing expansion, which will continue to generate additional increased in income levels throughout the middle and upper segments of the economy.
1980 Commonwealth Letter Vol 2 No 4
January 1980 I just sat through Jay Turner and Pete Fortunato's course "Profits in Paper" for the 2nd time in as many years. In the event you are not yet in the paper market, now is an excellent time to buy. Similar to bonds, when interest rates available in competitive investments are high and cash is hard to come by, paper can be purchased at major discounts. This same paper can be used again when rates come down to acquire other paper, real estate, or other personal assets, at full face value.
The Tax Man Cometh!
December 1979 For those with fiscal years based upon the calendar year, this is the final opportunity for implementing year-end tax-flow taxtics. Taking a page out of the current Fortune Seminars Course workbook, here’s how WE look at things:
November 1979 Commonwealth Letters Vol. 2 No. 2
November 1979 A new crisis is upon us or rapidly approaching, depending on your area of the country. No, it’s not a crisis of confidence. It’s a liquidity crisis. Hard money loans, where they are still available, are commanding interest rates of 15 ½% plus on short term commitments (90 day demand loans). The demand for loans at any interest is continuing to increase as small businessmen and speculators are caught in the squeeze of lower (if any) profits and higher costs of business due to inflation.

October 1979 Commonwealth Letters Vol. 2 No. 1
October 1979 THE COMMONWEALTH LETTERS ARE ONE YEAR OLD THIS MONTH! In keeping with this occasion we are introducing our new typed format which will allow us to get more words into the issue while shortening the time lag between our writing and its receipt by you.
